Bhakti Yoga - Yoga of Devotion.

Let go of your form identifications. Do not identify yourself with labels you have put on yourself or labels someone has given you. Because in form we will always be inferior to another or superior to another. In our true nature, however, we will be neither inferior or superior to another. In essence, we are one with life - radiant and free. This is the message of Kirtan.

When we are chanting, breathing and moving to the same rhythm, the energy and vibration connects to a higher vibration that moves beyond our need to be in control..beyond our ego. We connect to the space where the spirit of life resides...the heart.

So when you sing, sing from the heart. Kirtan is not about judgment or music. It is about liberation.

See you at the Friday night KIRTAN - Jiva Yoga Center, August 21st!

In the meantime, here is a chant you can sing and weave into your daily meditation/yoga practice:

AHEM PREMA
Ah-hahm PREH-mah

I AM DIVINE LOVE.

  2. I'm not use to singing, unless you count belting out tunes with my two year old. She has said on several occasions, "momma, quit singing please." So, I'm interested to see what this Friday evening will be like. Can't wait to see everyone!

  3. AHEM PREMA- I truly felt this at the Yin class I took on Sat in Savannah.I strive to keep this with me everyday. I see the divine love in the eyes of my dogs and my cat and the sunshine pouring in my window right now. I feel it in my husbands breath. We are all one, the yin and yang, no separation form the light and the dark. No separation from pleasure and pain. All ONE all Divine Love.

  5. AHEM PREMA. What a beautiful mantra. I have weaved it into my entire day! I am delighted to be just where I am, doing what I am doing. I did not know "why" I had chosen to do the teacher training---the answers are coming daily. I am excited, learning and becoming stronger in body, mind and spirit each moment!! Thank you, thank you Vicki for offering this teacher training on this beautiful island; otherwise I would not have been able to be part of this precious community.
    Blessings,
    Sonja
